Rodriguez: The opposition does not want a revoking referendum, they seek to overthrow Maduro

The head of the Commission of Review of Signatures of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Rodriguez, said pm Monday that the Venezuelan right wing does not intend to run a revoking referendum in the country, but to overthrow the Constitutional Government led by Nicolas Maduro.

“I affirm that there is no real intentions on the part of the right wing to activate a revoking referendum, their only intension was said by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Henry Ramos Allup, who said that in July they should overthrow President Maduro”.

He stressed that the opposition is running a total fraud on the Venezuelan law, on which has imposed violence, using its followers to create chaos in the country.

“In my power lie the minutes where they said that the process has been developed according to the rules”, and therefore he stated that, in the case of believing in a fraud, it is being produced by the same leaders of the self-called Democratic Unity Board (MUD).

He also assured that the referendum is “completely impossible” because they do not have the right timings. “For any normal election, you need six months”. He added that, to activate the mechanism, the right wing must have collected signatures starting on January 11.

The also Mayor of Caracas said that Capriles was irresponsible not to put his fingerprint in the form (At the moment of signing the request for the revoking referendum), “Mr. Capriles forgot that, and so happened also with other leaders.”
