President Maduro remembered Chávez swearing in and struggles achieved in 18 years

Hace 1 año.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, recalled through his account in the Facebook social network the swearing in of Commander Hugo Chavez, before the extinct National Congress 18 years ago, after being elected by the majority of the Venezuelan people and defeating the (right wing) parties of the Punto Fijo pact.

In his Facebook profile he wrote:

“Today we celebrate 18 years of the first oath of Commander Hugo Chavez, as President of Venezuela.

After being elected by the overwhelming majority of the Venezuelan people and defeating the parties of the Punto Fijo pact, the Commander swore in to the defunct National Congress on the moribund Constitution of 1961 and convoked on his first decree for a consulting referendum, To initiate the transformations that the country demanded, through the National Constituent Assembly, a project that the Commander raised during his election campaign, with which, he fulfilled his word before the people.

Since that day, the country began a profound process of transformation in all aspects, thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution, to the project of the new emancipation, based on popular participation.

After 18 years, we have traveled a long way, but it is a longer one, the path of victories, triumph and conquests that are still awaiting for the children of Bolivar and the legacy of Commander Chavez, we will achieve this.

Long live Commander Hugo Chavez!”
