Nicolas Maduro, President of the Republic, during the night of Tuesday, confirmed that Venezuela will maintain dialogue negotiations in the Dominican Republic, and therefore he assigned a delegation in order to represent peace from the country.

I ask to Venezuela, is bad for us to sit down to dialogue, and, with all the differences that we may have, to seek for points of meeting in benefit of the country, to recover the economy, strengthen the Constitution, to ensure peace and independence? I think it is good and I ratify, as the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, that we will remain in the negotiation table at Dominican Republic”, he said.

During the broadcast of the program “Contacto con Maduro” (Contact with Maduro) held from Miraflores Palace in Caracas, he said that at the first meeting it was determined to begin a process of ongoing dialogue, and therefore will continue respecting what was agreed with the former President of Spain; Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, of the Dominican Republic; Leonel Fernandez, Martin Torrijos of Panama and former President Ernesto Samper, Secretary General of UNASUR.

“How many things I have to do to try to get the opposition to move away from the path of coups d’ etat and violence. The path of Venezuela must be that of peace”, he declared.

The delegation by the Bolivarian Government is comprised by Jorge Rodriguez, Elias Jaua Milano and Delcy Rodríguez, and by the right wing are involved the parties Primero Justicia, Accion Democratica, Voluntad Popular and Un Nuevo Tiempo.
