82% of Venezuelans agree that a dialogue between the Government and the opposition, an initiative promoted by President Nicolas Maduro to get out of the economic situation through which the country is passing and to consolidate a homeland of peace, as reports on a study of the Hinterlaces pollster.
The poll of 1,580 people held between September 2 and 13, released on Sunday by the television program “José Vicente Hoy” (José Vicente Today), indicates that a 58% of respondents estimated that the priority of that approach should be to solve the economic problems .
Also, the majority indicated that the most important sector with which the government must discuss and make arrangements to solve current economic problems is the business sector, with a 76%, then with the opposition, 20%.
To establish dialogue 84% of people consider necessary an international mediation, and among the personalities that can promote the country is Pope Francis, with an 87% approval rating in the study.
The National Government has repeatedly called for dialogue to the right wing, which have publicly sought to ignore the approach with the Executive, distort the meaning of the conversations and attack those who mediate in this process.
The promotion of dialogue in Venezuela has the support of the secretary of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), Ernesto Samper, along with the former Presidents Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero from Spain, -to whom the right wing asked to intervene in the internal affairs of Venezuela, but now they have refused to accept his mediation- Martin Torrijos from Panama and Leonel Fernandez of the Dominican Republic.
