The President of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Delcy Rodríguez, from the headquarters of the Yellow House, reported that this week will be installed the 22 work commissions that will have the responsibility of deploying throughout the country for the discussion and drafting of the new Magna Carta.

“This week will be formally and fully installed the 22 work commissions that will begin to be deployed in the construction of our Constitution, which will armor that of 1999, and which will also devote to the daily work of our Constituent to ensure (…) the political, economic and social equilibrium that Venezuela needs”, she said.

These commissions have the task of deepening the strategic and programmatic objectives of the Constituent, in order to diligently attend to the consolidation of peace.

She announced the preparation of a work schedule that will give the greatest speed to the 8 constitutional laws in economic matters, presented by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

“We have elaborated a schedule to give the most speed to these constitutional laws, which are required for an economy that can deal with the different threats and aggressions, both internal and external, that have impacted on the national economic life; (…) we continue working from the Constituent Assembly for the economic peace of our country, for the prosperity and economic and social happiness of our people”, she said.

She rejected statements by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein against the sovereignty of Venezuela, qualifying those as “a great lie in order to justify interventionist processes in Venezuela”, she said.
