The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, acknowledged on Monday the work of the Commission for Truth, Justice and Reparation for Victims of Violence in Venezuela during the Fourth Republic.
“This commission has developed a truly impressive historical research, discovering the reasons for the persecution of political assassination of dozens of young Venezuelans, it has delivered the bones of several martyrs of that student youth. Here are the relatives, sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, of those tortured, persecuted and disappeared”, said the Head of State during a ceremony in honor of the revolutionary leader Jorge Rodriguez, held at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas.
In this regard, he stressed that to remember Jorge Rodriguez, “a young man of 24 who was beaten to death by the oligarchy, is to remember the nobility of men who faced their tormentors and defeated them in morals, courage and dignity.”
He also reiterated that within Revolution has been done and will be made justice with all those murders of leaders who wanted a better country and who were persecuted and massacred.
